Glastonbury: Shangri-La (The Wilding)

Shangri-La is a world built on collaboration. We worked closely with stage designers, lighting directors, production teams, and the artists themselves to ensure the visuals felt cohesive, bold, and emotionally charged.

Glastonbury 2025 was nothing short of legendary — and at the beating heart of it all was Shangri-La, the festival’s rebellious, art-fuelled after-hours district where creativity knows no bounds. We were honoured (and a bit blown away) to be returning for our third year as the official video creative team for Shangri-La this year, using 8 projectors and one LED wall to support lighting and performances, protests, and parties that pulsed through its wild, ever-evolving landscape.

Shangri-La isn’t just a stage — it’s an art movement powered by a passionate crew and community. Every corner had a story to tell. Our job was to translate the chaos, beauty, activism, and spirit of this space into something you could feel on screen, supported by an amazing AV show composed by the crew titled The Wilding.

Shangri-La is a world built on collaboration. We worked closely with stage designers, lighting directors, production teams, and the artists themselves to ensure the visuals felt cohesive, bold, and emotionally charged. We also spent weeks in the run-up designing bespoke visuals for artists, theming content around this year’s overarching message: “Everything must grow.” It wasn’t just about looking good — it was about making people feel something. Rage, joy, hope, rebellion — sometimes all at once.

Powered by Chaos (and Blackmagic)

Anyone who’s done visuals at a festival knows the reality: mud, madness, long nights, tangled cables, failing projectors, last-second content drops, and a million things that can go wrong. But that’s part of the thrill — and part of what makes Shangri-La so special. It’s unpredictable, raw, and endlessly inspiring. From sunset sets to sunrise raves, we were locked in behind the magic, screens glowing, visuals pulsing, working with the production crews to create something beautiful and inspiring.
